Melvin E. Miller, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst. He is a Charles A. Dana Professor of Psychology, and director of doctoral training at Norwich University. His research and publications largely pertain to psychoanalysis, adult development, and spiritual development. Among his various publications, he coedited The Psychology of Mature Spirituality with P. Young-Eisendrath (2000) and Self and No-Self: Continuing the Dialogue Between Buddhism and Psychotherapy with D. Mathers and O. Ando (2009). Dr. Miller is past president of the Vermont Association for Psychoanalytic Studies (VAPS) and the Society for Research in Adult Development (SRAD). He is a supervising faculty member of the Vermont Institute for the Psychotherapies (VIP) and supervisor for the National Training Program in Contemporary Psychoanalysis. Dr. Miller has a private psychoanalytic practice in Montpelier, Vermont.
